The producer's perspective is simply something that doesn't exist in the screenplay development community. The closest we've found elsewhere are producers who teach aspects of screenwriting (such as "how to pitch" or "how to develop a logline"), or systems built on producer interviews, with an eye toward on-selling your work to those other producers.

All of those have value — great value — as do the gurus like Robert McKee or Syd Field or John Truby, etc. Every insight and perspective a writer can add to their arsenal will help push them toward mastery of this complex craft.
